The Dawn of Blogging

Wow! I've read a bit about this blogging business but never thought much about it or that I'd give it a try. Now I shall doubtless be spending even more time at my laptop than previously - and that's saying something!

This is coming to you from sunny Sicily (don't believe it, it's not always sunny either!) and as a first 'chapter' of my first blog there won't be much written as my brain seems to have suddenly 'dried up' probably with the fright of realising that a good few people may be out there ready to read (and hack to bits) this piece!

I'm also wondering if I shall ever be able to find this blog once I've clicked off - if you don't hear from me again then I'll have lost it in cyber space!

Had a super lunch today with five female friends. We all prepared a little something and took it up to the organising hostess's home; a good way to get together without the hassle of cooking enormous quantities of food.

Tomorrow it's Pentecost, so will be off to church. There's a beautiful little English church here surrounded by it's own garden, where refreshments are served after the service. A morning spent in peace and quiet, re-charging one's batteries to get through the rest of the week.

I'm signing off now as must attend to my cats needs!

Forgive any omissions on this first chapter, but I'm sure you'll all tell me how to do things correctly when you get around to tracking me down!
